“Science is not a thing, it’s a verb.”
This seems inconsequential, but I like the idea of this quote. It means science requires you to go out and do something, figure something out, solve a problem. It means science, in a way, is. And if science is then it, in a way, isn’t incompatible with anything except things that aren’t.
What I mean is: Science isn’t incompatible with plumbing….because science is the verb that allows plumbing to work. Gravity allows water to flow downward through the pipes. Science also isn’t incompatible with the bible. This is because the bible is. It exists as a book. Religion, however, is also a verb. It is(aka. the way in christianity). And so, both verbs of science and religion can’t be at the same time while contradicting each other. One must be correct. One is and one isn’t.
Perhaps I’m crazy. But that’s why I like this quote.
